BACKGROUND

Terry Bennett is a strategically-minded executive who improves business results through people, processes, and technology. As a Fellow of the Institute for Digital Transformation, he writes and presents on the digital transformation/disruption.  Terry is the author of the e-book “Busting Through Digital Transformation Roadblocks”.  He uses these skills to advise C-suites on how to achieve the speed and agility necessary for success in the digital era.  Terry has successfully transformed IT departments of multiple companies into dynamic organizations that are proactive, business-focused, and intent on bringing a competitive advantage. His teams are recognized for achieving the highest levels of satisfaction from those they serve. Terry’s broad technical experience has allowed him to lead teams using many different technologies, platforms, and methodologies. He has managed budgets of over $26M and teams of over 100 employees plus offshore and onshore contractors. He has achieved success in startup to turnaround to mature organizations, family-owned to Global 500 companies.

Terry is a former Air Force officer and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma. He has achieved Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) Foundation certification. Terry serves on the board of Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the most severely abused children in North Texas.  He has served on the board of directors of Lifenet Texas, a nonprofit healthcare organization dedicated to rebuilding the lives of the mentally ill, chemically dependent, and homeless. In addition, he currently serves on the Parks and Recreation Commission of Sachse, TX and has in the past served on the board of directors of the Sachse Public Library.
